The WBC-INCO.NET project, already running since 2008 under FP7/Programme "Capacities", operating within the Western Balkan region, addresses all of the issues of bi-regional dialogue at the highest stakeholder level with a strong operational implementation basis.
With its extended activities (Oct.2010-Dec.2013) WBC-INCO.NET ENHANCED will be focusing on:
• establishing closer cooperation between research and innovation, including competence from the industrial sectors and the fields of innovation management and market entry;
• strengthening the intersectoral dialogue engaging business sector whenever possible;
• analysing innovation needs and barriers;
• raising awareness of the research community for the market demands and of the benefits of innovation within the WB region.
For this purpose, throughout the next 3 years Innovation Dialogue Fora will promote the regional dialogue towards developing corresponding joint activities aiming at establishing a functional regional innovation system described in an Action Plan.
In this regard, the WBC-INCO.NET project and the Ministry of Education and Science (MPIN) of Montenegro are pleased to invite you to the 1st Innovation Dialogue Forum (IDF), which will be held on November 8th and 9th, in Becici (Budva), Montenegro.
Divided in three sessions (national innovation system-regional dimension-EU experience) the 1st IDF will focus on the national innovation systems (stressing barriers and advantages), as well as on regional prospects and EU experiences with a view to pointing out innovation needs and ways to address the innovation demands of the WB region. The outcome of the IDF will serve as a basis for defining the upcoming surveys in the project towards developing common research and innovation strategies.
The meetings are open for interested WB parties coming from both public and private sector (government, research, industry, business), as well as for experts at national, regional and European level and representatives of multilateral initiatives and programmes focused on innovation.
